First Day of School!

Cort was so excited to go to school this morning! He was a little nerves, but more excited! He wanted to take Lizzy with him. I said he had a lot of listening to do and Lizzy might make that hard to do:( So Lizzy waited in the truck for Cort.

Grace liked having time to play with her ponies without having Cort's army guys attacking them. She was ready to go and get him after school. She kept asking "What do you think he is doing?"

This is Cort outside of the school with his school tee shirt that the principal gave him(well all the kindergartners). Cort told me his favorite part of school was recess. He can't wait to go tomorrow! My baby is growing up.

Back at the Beach

Last night we went to the beach. While Frank and Grace were fishing out in the boat, Cort and I were checking stuff out on the beach. Cort and I found a couple of these things, after poking it and trying to flip it over with a stick I decided it was a beached Jelly fish. Under it you could see the long stringy legs. It was really stiff to poke at, weird!

We almost ran out of light. It was so nice to get out.

Grace needed to have her picture taken on the rocks. This should not surprise Grandma Linda and Aunt Natalie.

Now that we are back and there are not any grasshoppers on the island, Cort has had to find something new to obsess about. The new thing is searching for crabs under rocks. What can I say, boys will be boys!

Missing Montana

We have been home for a few days and it has been raining the whole time. It really makes us miss Montana weather!

The night we stopped at Wade & Carie's Grace got to play fetch with Chewy. Carie was showing Grace how to throw the ball for Chewy. It you look in the picture you will see the ball in the air behind Chewy.

I do not know it you can tell from the picture how excited Grace was? She was bouncing as much as the ball. Kids and Dogs are a great combo!

Our last stop in MT was in Sunburst, Less then 15 miles from the border. We had a wonderful and to short of a visit with the Griffin family. This picture show the kids had a great time together! (Left to Right)Darcie, Grace, Emily, Cort & Isabel. Cort and Isabel are the same age and they were so cute together!

Skeena River, British Columbia

This was Sunday Morning on the Skeena River. The kids needed some time to run and we all needed out of the truck!

Cort found a puddle on the rocks that needed to be jumped, lots of times!

This pit stop was about 45 min. out of Prince Rupert. It was so beautiful! When I came through on my way down it was 3:00 a.m. and I did not get to see any of this. Next stop, home!

Banff National Park

This was an emergency potty break. I am not sure which Mountain this is, may be Castle Mountain?

I had to be artsy Fartsy and take this picture of the flower with some dew on it. It did not turn out as good as I hoped but it still liked the color in it.

We saw some big horn sheep, sorry for the blurry picture. I thought it turned out pretty good for taking it at about 30 miles per hour. We had a bunch of people in front and behind us, we could not just stop.

Flathead Lake

On our way North we stopped at Flathead Lake for the kids to cool off and just get some energy off. It started out dry and ended up wet.

After Cort fell in we just took the shirt off before it got any wetter and told him to go for it! Grace on the other hand did not want to get her pink dress wet. She wanted to take her close off. We explained girls can not just take their shirts off to swim.

For the next few hours in the truck Cort had to go commando. Good thing we had his blankets in the truck:)

Good bye's are hard

Before we left Lewistown, Sandy thought fast enough to get a family picture of us. Way to go Sandy!

I took her lead and got a new picture of the kids with Grandma and Grandpa Stewart.

That evening we got to my parents just in time for Kevonna's Birthday desert. The kids made clown faces with Ice Cream and cones. They were not as interested in decorating as much as they were in eating them.

Kevonna and Cort were wanting to spend the night when we were in Billings. We just could not, we were not there long enough. So, when the kids realized they were going to get to sleep in the camper with Brad they were so excited! I do not know how excited Brad was?

The Earl Johnson Farm

The last day before we left Lewistown we went out to Frank's Grandpa Johnson's farm. It was a beautiful day and very HOT!

This is the old Barkhoff Barn. Frank got some wood off of it to make some frames with.

The kids had fun checking out all the things out on the farm, mostly the grasshoppers for Cort.

This is not the best picture of Grace, but it is really nice of Square Butte and Round Butte. Grace was not happy, she wanted to have Cort with her in the picture.

This is the old sheep barn that is over by where the house that Sandy grew up in once stood.

After the farm we went to visit Wade, Carie and Sam Stewart. Sam was a great sport, he helped Cort find some grasshoppers. Thanks Sam!

Grandma Sandy's Dresses

When Grandma Sandy was about 4 or 5 years old Great Grandma Maudine had these 2 dresses made for her. The girls had fun trying on the dresses.

It was amazing how well they fit both of the girls!

Grandma Sandy said it was strange to think that she was that little, when she saw the girls in the dresses. Thank you Sandy for saving the dresses, what a great experience for the girls!

The Fish Hatchery and The Circus

Sayler and Grace had a great time together! Whatever Sayler was doing Grace wanted to do it too. This picture was taken up at the cabin.

We spent an afternoon at the fish hatchery. The kids had a great time looking at the fish and feeding the fish

Cort and Grace were trying to find the biggest fish in the tank.

Frank and Shane had a great weekend. It was so nice to see them enjoying each other and the kids too.

The next night we took the kids to the Circus. The kids liked all of the acts under the big top, but Cort said his favorite part was jumping on the blow up bouncy thing.

Zimmer's for dinner then on to Lewistown

We made a quick stop in Billings. Cort and Kevonna had a great time together! We even got the cousins to get a group hug. Cort and Kevonna in the back, Grace and Braiden in the front. Brad and Carol you have two great kids!

When we got to Lewistown Grandma Sandy had an army out fit waiting for Cort. He was so excited, he wore it almost every day we were there. When Grandpa Stan saw Cort all dressed up he went and dug out his World War II sten gun. Cort was very careful with it and all business when he was holding it.

It was so hot in Lewistown Grandma had to get the pool out the day we got there. The girls, Grace and her cousin Sayler, had fun getting in the cold water and screaming then getting out.

Cort took the screaming as an open invitation to start splashing the girls. The girls had fun getting Cort back. Way to go Sayler!
