Locks of Love

Grace loves her new hair cut!

Today was the day! We went and got Grace's 10 inches of hair cut. Grace is donating the hair to Locks of Love.

I was more worried about the cut than Grace was. She was so excited about the new hair cut!

Before the big cut, well actually there were lots of little cuts.

Stopping to smell the flowers

Tonight when I took Annie out for a potty break I spotted this little slug smelling my pansy. I wish I could have gotten a better picture:( It was just a strange thing to see. I guess in Metlakatla Alaska even the slugs stop to smell the flowers.

The Kings Are Here!

Frank had decided that brushing the scales off first is the only way to go. It was funny to see him out there scrubbing on the fish:)

Grace was there to help wash off all of the scales. She is her Daddy's little helper. Grace and her sense of fashion is amazing:)

After the scales were cleaned off the two jokers thought the king needed a drink of water. They thought it was soooo funny.

The Years of Grace

Our little Gracie Girl! Grandpa Zimmer getting some time with is new little girl. Grace about 1 month old.

Grace just over 1 year old. As you can see our poor little girl has no toys to play with:)

Our little lady is having fun with the nativity set that Aunt Natalie sent. Grace is 2 in this picture.

Grace was a trooper for the big trip from Fairbanks to Metlakatla. She is 3 in this picture.

I made a summer dress for our Montana trip this summer. Grace loves modeling her cloths, can you believe she is 5!

The Years of Cort

Cort my "little" boy about 4 days old. Lounging on mommy's lap, notice my hand in relation to Cort.

Cort playing with his Thomas toys at 2 years.

Cort being "Joe Cool", 3.5 years old.

Cort at Pt. D on Annette Island, 5 years.

Cort in Ketchican this spring.

I got this idea from Peg, thanks Peg!

The Princess is 5!

Grace is now 5, where does the time go? It seems like yesterday we brought her home from the hospital on my mom's birthday. Notice Grace had 2 different crowns, silly girl had to have one like all other girls plus the one Aunt Natalie sent to match her dress(also from the wonderful Aunt Natalie:) There were 5 little princesses at the party with lots of dress changes by all of them:) What a day! We are now officially in the "odd" year, 5 & 7.

How can he be 7?

It is hard to believe that 7 years ago we were holding our new 10lb. 4oz. 22.5 oz. baby boy. Now he is getting ready to finish Kindergarten. He is growing so fast, I know time is not going to slow down. I am thankful for the wonderful little boy that god has given us.

Aleutian Ballad

Cort's Class went of a field trip on the Aleutian Ball, a ship from the first few seasons of "Deadliest Catch". It was a BLAST!!

Cort didn't want to touch the Tanner Crab, some people also call them Snow Crabs. He wanted to have his gloves on, then he wanted to hold the crabs:) Kids are funny, you know those little stretch gloves have so much protection:)

Cort is so brave holding the Tanner/Snow Crab! Notice the gloves:)

This is the Captain with a couple of King Crabs.

Cort was checking out the king Crab. They did not let the kids hold the Kings because of the spikes on them.

It was a great day on the water! We did get a little rain, but we do live in southeast Alaska:)

Time Flies!

Grace had her award ceremony today at school. This is the picture after she got her award for finishing a year of head start. Hard to believe it has been a year a school for both kids.

We put a swin up in the back yard this week. I am not sure it is in the safest place, but Cort Loves it! It is right out our big picture window. The tree the swing is in is about 5 feet up a bank. If you look you can see the roots of the tree hanging down. What do we rate on the parents meter?

Family Boat Ride

This was the kids and my first trip in Frank's new boat. It was nice to get out on the water with such a nice day. The kids wanted to stay out longer, they must get that from their dad:) Annie was ready to get back on dry land! Frank says she will get to like it, hopefully:)
