Sand Dollar Beach

The other night we went to Sand Dollar Beach. We had not been to this beach before. It is a mile and a half walk to the beach, it is a beautiful walk. We got to the beach and Grace found a big rock that needed a hug:)

The trees on the beach are HUGE! In this picture Cort is hiding from Frank.

Grace had a little melt down. She was afraid she was stepping on a sea anemone . Once we walked around it, all was good again. The sand on her face is because she was picking up sand dollars off of the beach, she must have had a itch on her face.

Cort our little speedster! Notice his feet are not on the ground at all. He had to be first on the trail back to the car. I wonder where he gets that from:)

A New puppy

Annabel the Ewok, before her haircut.

She does have a face! Annie knows she looks great, she was running around so happy. It is nice to be able to see her cute little face.

Pets are Wonderful!

Annie loves her bath! When she is in the bath she looks like a Chinese Crested:) I think it is just because her hair is so long.

Here is our Ying and our Yen. Sometimes they will actually sleep with eachother. When Lucy realizes who is by her she gets a little cranky, but will not move.

GEO Trax Girl

Who says that grils can't play with trains? We dug out the three big boxes from the garage for the kids to play with. Cort loves to play with them, I hate to have them out. There are so many that they take over the whole house! I was suprised that Grace had as much or even more fun with them than Cort did. I did break down and told the kids we could leave them in the living room till Wednesday. They just have to be put back in thier boxes every night. You can see two of the boxes in the background, They are not small.

I am sorry for the half dressed girl, she is going to hate this picture when she becomes a teenager. The cat was even interested in the trains for a little while. I helped Grace with this track, it only took over half of the living room. When Cort got home he had to get all of the tracks and other parts out and filled the whole living room. I was glad when 8:00 got here and they put them away and I could walk in the living room!

Frank's trip to Crab Bay

Frank went on a fishing/hunting trip with a good friend on Thursday. They slept on the boat that night and than got home late Friday night. I was hoping for some Fresh halibut for dinner when he got home. No such luck this time, I guess I will just have to send him out again:)

It was a great couple of days as far as the weather goes. No wind and no rain, it was a little cold (low 30's) but it is February. I love the bottom picture that Frank got! The water is not that calm very often. It is nice to be able to show that picture off!

Kindergarten Swimming

Today was the first day of swimming at school. The K-3 students do an hour of swimming once a week at the pool. What a great thing for the kids! Cort had such a great time!

I am so proud of Cort's back float! He has been working on it for years:) There are only 13 kids in Cort's class, and there are about 5 swim teachers. I am thinking he will be getting lots of one on one:)

Annie's 1st day at the beach

It has been so long scene we have been to the beach. We almost missed it, tide was low at about 6 o'clock. I like that you can see the little squall above the little island.

Annie had a great time and needed a bath when we got home. You can really tell how long her hair is in this picture. I might have to break down and get some dog clippers and cut her hair myself:( There were so many new smells that Annie's nose was going crazy!

Cort and Grace being Cute! They are so good at that:)
