New Yard?

This is what our yard looked like when the kids and I left for Montana.

This is what it looked like the morning after we got home. They were doing digging at 8:00a.m. the morning after we got back home to Metlakatla.

We had a gravel parking lot for about 5 days. I had accepted that we were going to have gravel for a yard:( I wanted to plant some trees out by the road for some privacy, so I called housing and asked if they were done digging. A housing guy came by and said they did not want to put grass out there, because they did not want to take care of grass. I promised to take care of it and to even get the grass seed and everything. The next morning at 7:30 a.m. they were dumping and spreading top soil! On Thursday the 16th Frank and I raked it smooth then planted the seed.

These last two pictures were taken a week after we started the seeds. I love my green little baby grass! At first I thought that it was moss growing in the dirt. NO, little green spears of life!!! I took both the bottom pictures right after the other, I think the bottom one looks the best:)

July In Superior with Natalie's Family

Grace enjoyed her time with Aunt Natalie!

Uncle Glenn got a lot of Grace time too. There was even Talk of Grace and Austin switching places.

This was one of the few pictures with all 5 kids. Not everyone is looking, but they are all there. Beggars can't be choosers:)

The kids enjoyed their sparklers at Jeff & Autumn's wedding. The wedding was really nice.

This is Austin, Natalie's middle son, trying to land on the whale from the diving board. So many great memories from the pool this summer!

The End of June in Superior

Dad was busy with all of his saw mill jobs, I even got to help him with a few things. Moving the saw mill to hooking the logs it was nice to get some good time at home. He never would let me drive the backhoe:) I don't think I would have wanted to.

This was after the kids had just finished playing in the water. I think that is the only way we got Cort to sit still. Grace, Mathew (Natalie's youngest), Grandma Moles, and Cort.

We spent one afternoon in Missoula at a water park. The kids all had so much fun and came home with some nice sun burns. Grace loves her cousin!

We went in and spent a weekend with Grandma Moles. She had to get the bat and ball out, Grandma loves her sports! Cort actually hit the ball about half the time, I was impressed this was the first time he had ever held a bat.

Oh yes and don't forget the "Slip N Slide". Summer is not summer with out slipping in the water and sliding through the yard! I can't believe how fast the month of June went.
